Guided Visits

Hour-long guided tours are led by trained museum guides and offer extraordinary opportunities for your group to make the most of your visit.  One guide is provided for every twenty-five to thirty people in advance.  Larger groups can be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. Tours are available in Filipino or English (subject to guide availability).  Groups are free to explore Kanheron on their own after the tour.

Annual pass and other discounts do not apply to group admission. Qualified tour operators are eligible for discounted rates.

Self-guided tours are available seven days a week (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.). Kanheron cannot guarantee access to all galleries at all times.

SCHOOL TOURS

Kanheron also opens our doors for customized educational tours throughout the calendar year  to meet the needs of Siquijor’s local school-aged children and around the country.   “Teach children by seeing history.”  To schedule a tour, please contact our tour coordinator @ kanheron.org or kanheronranch@yahoo.com or (0917) 823-1701.

PLANNING A FIELD TRIP

Your visit should be an extension of the classroom. We have an array of tours designed for specific grade levels that will fit your curriculum standards.  This will hopefully support your classroom curriculum.

Guided tours offer amazing opportunities for your students to make the most of their field trip! Our trained tour guides engage students in lively, inquiry-based conversations that strengthen curriculum connections and encourage important skills like critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. Feel free to continue exploring the galleries but chaperones must accompany your students at all times after the tour.  We require that students and chaperones conduct themselves appropriately at all times.  Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the facility.

Visit Schedule

Guided school visits are conducted Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., with some weekend availability. Students are not allowed to eat their packed lunch in the premises.  Please plan to eat outside or at school.

Tour coordinator will contact you to confirm the date, time and approximate cost of your planned visit.  Please contact Kanheron to make necessary changes before arrival.

One teacher per reservation receives complimentary admission.
